Photography Diaries

I have an insatiable curiosity for photography in all its forms and make a constant effort to stay abreast of local and international photography exhibitions, developments, and the debates that surround them. In 2014 I noticed a space in the market for London and New York’s ever-expanding photography community for a comprehensive guide to what's on in photography. For these reasons, I launched the London Photography Diary and the New York Photography Diary to provide both the public and professional colleagues an in-depth resource. The sites now have over 90,000 unique users a year and they are maintained by six volunteer editors who I work with on a weekly basis.

Videos

A video page on each of the Diary sites links to videos on exhibitions, documentaries, interviews, talks, and symposia. With over 150 videos on the site, the Diary editors add to this selection each month.

Festivals

The Photography Diaries have been tracking photography festivals for the past five years and keep an up to date calendar and interactive map of photography festivals around the world. The editors are also invited to attend and review international festivals and have been on press trips to festivals in Romania, Budapest, and Tsbilisi, Georgia.

In 2015 Hemera Collective produced a series of interviews with international photography curators. We spoke with Ryan Linkoff at LACMA, Simon Baker at the Tate Modern, and Sheyi Bankale at Photo50/London Art Fair.
